What are the different uses of Feituo wax and polyethylene wax (PE wax)? Fischer wax is a methylene polymer that is synthesized from synthetic gas or natural gas as an alkane. High melting point (generally above 85 °) Fischer Tropsch wax is mainly composed of linear, saturated high carbon alkanes with a relative molecular weight of 500-1000, which endows this chemical with a fine crystal structure, high melting point, narrow melting point range, low oil content, low penetration, low migration rate, low melt viscosity, hardness, wear resistance, and high stability.
01 Molecular weight:
The molecular weight of Feituo wax is much lower than that of polyethylene wax (PE wax), with fewer branches and higher crystallinity. It is easy to penetrate into high viscosity molecular chains, significantly reducing the viscosity of the melt. It has low migration during processing and significant lubrication effect in the later stage.
02 Fei Tuo Wax:
It is a saturated directly connected alkane, free of double bonds, with strong antioxidant capacity and good weather resistance of the product.
03 Feituo wax viscosity:
Far lower than polyethylene wax (PE wax), only about 10. Less usage can achieve the same lubrication effect. The usage is only 70-80% of polyethylene wax (PE wax). Fischer wax has good compatibility with PVC and can be used as both internal and external lubricants. It can be used as a good internal lubricant to effectively control shear conditions, promote flow, control friction and melting performance, thereby improving thermal stability. At the same time, due to its high crystallinity and high linearity structure, Fischer wax enables PVC products to achieve the best physical and processing properties. According to the needs, the Fischer Tropsch process can synthesize alkanes of different chain lengths to change the molecular weight of the final product and form a series of products.
The main applications of Feituo wax in the plastic industry are:
Fischer wax can be applied in plastic (PVC) processing, such as injection molding, extrusion, and granulation industries.
Fischer wax helps with the dispersion and excellent smoothness of fillers during the mixing process in the production of masterbatch and modified plastics.
It can be used as an external lubricant for PVC, and low viscosity can improve the production speed of the product. It helps to disperse pigments and fillers during mixing, especially in high viscosity extrusion systems. The amount added is 40-50% less than ordinary polyethylene wax (PE wax), and it can significantly improve the surface gloss of the product (in terms of gloss, it can replace Brazilian palm wax). When using strong colors, melted Fischer Tropsch wax can effectively wet the dye and reduce extrusion viscosity.
Fischer wax has many uses, such as hot melt adhesive, plastic lubrication, demolding, pipes, profiles, inks, coatings, polishing wax, masterbatch, rubber, candles, textiles, and so on.
